Great question - Here’s a few tips!

• Having people in photos really helps bring them to life. If you want shots of people in your space we definitely recommend organising a bunch of friends, family or regulars to be ready for shots as needed. Willing models help us to get great photos!

  For wide shots of the space customers are fine, but we find it best not to interrupt paying customers for detailed shots and group photos.

• If you want photos featuring staff, make sure they know ahead of time. Sometimes they can get a bit shy and hide away if it’s sprung on them on the day.

• If there are specific items you want shots of be sure to let us know. We love lists!

• Give everything a little tidy up before the day and make sure there’s no unnecessary clutter. Don’t stress about a dusty window sill or messy cupboard, just stuff that will stick out in a photo.

  Making sure there’s nothing that dates a photo helps too - if you’ve got posters up for a community event coming up it may be better to remove them for the day so the photos feel fresher for longer. Of course if the posters are part of your aesthetic leave them up! We’re happy either way. :)

We try to work around you as much as possible. Whether you want to work with us to line up as many different shots as possible in our window of time, or you need us to just do our thing and disrupt your day as little as possible that is totally fine with us!

We don’t have a fixed number of photos in our packages for a good reason, every shoot is a little different! We are only limited by the amount of content we can shoot in the timeframe we are in the space.

If we’re shooting orders as they come out for customers we may get less shots than if we’re doing a session where a full menu is coming out specifically to be shot item after item. If you’ve rounded up your friends to be featured in some of the photos we might have more than if there are only customers in the space etc.

No raw photos are included in these packages - trust us, this is for the best! It would be a bit like serving raw chicken, except without the salmonella and health inspector visiting. We’re not hiding anything (other than a few photos we accidentally take of our feet), and don’t withhold any photos that are worth including. (If you’ve got a social media person that edits your photos a certain way we can chat details though)

Once we’ve captured all our photos on the day we go through a transfer and backup process to make sure they’re all safe, then go through and pick out the good ones, make them look their best and upload them to a Google Drive folder where you can download them all from.

Ok! You can give us money by card with our nifty square reader on the day, or by bank transfer prior to the shoot day. This keeps things nice and easy, lets us send through the photos the second they are ready, and saves us chasing up payment later.
